Applying for the Andrew Dale Scholarship - Suffern NY In order to qualify for the Andrew Dale Scholarship at SUNY Rockland, you must first apply as a first year student. The scholarship is awarded to three individuals each year for $1750 and will go to the student that is seeking a career in Law Enforcement.  Andrew Dale Scholarship History  This scholarship was created in 2010 and is be given to the most deserving student. Preference will be given to the student that has a military history, seeking a career in law enforcement, maintained a high GPA in high school, and shows involvement in community based organizations. Andrew Dale was a Police Officer who served with the Spring Hill Ambulance Corps, Hillcrest Fire Department, a former United States Marine and a Police Officer. Suffern N.Y. - The Police Officer Andrew Dale Scholarship has awarded over $40,000 in scholarships since it was founded and funded in 2009. Andrew Dale was a Police Officer that attended Rockland Community College - Suffern NY  A scholarship was created to award a returning SUNY Rockland Student from the Suffern NY campus aka  Rockland Community College  that is seeking a career in law enforcement and exhibits outstanding character. Andrew Dale was in the Bronx, NY and grew up in Ramapo, New York.  He attended the East Ramapo School Distrct and joined the United State Marine Corps.  He attended Rockland Community College and then graduated from Fordham University.  He became a Police Officer and after leaving the force, he went on to create several multi-million dollar companies.
